Technology can make your dental treatment more accurate and comfortable. Dental technology changes every day, and Dr. Azenheimer evaluates the latest equipment, treatment techniques, and information so you always receive the highest level of care. Here are some examples of the latest dental technology that we have introduced into our office:

Digital Dental X-Rays

Digital dental x-rays provide an essential diagnostic tool for Dr. Azenheimer. They help him see what is not visible with the naked eye alone. Dental x-rays have always been among the lowest in radiation because they focus on such a small area. We have taken x-ray safety one step further by introducing digital technology in our Hazlet, New Jersey, dental office. Digital x-rays reduce radiation exposure by 90 percent as compared to traditional film x-rays.

Our digital x-ray system produces high resolution images which provide Dr. Azenheimer with exceptionally detailed views of your teeth and jaw bone. This gives Dr. Azenheimer the ability to diagnose dental conditions in their earliest stages when they are less complicated and less expensive to treat.

Our dedication to your dental health starts with prevention and early diagnosis. Digital x-rays are an invaluable tool in giving you the highest level of dental care available.

Picasso Dental Laser

If you have been diagnosed with any periodontal conditions that require surgery, you probably have concerns about how the procedure will go and what to expect as far as treatment times and recovery. At Shoreland Dental, Dr. Azenheimer has introduced one of the greatest inventions for modern dentistry – the soft tissue laser. If you require gum surgery of any kind, you can enjoy greater comfort, faster healing times, and painless treatment. The Picasso Laser provides precise, predictable results that are far less invasive than traditional periodontal surgeries.

Patient Education Videos

Have you ever wondered how a dental crown works or what a dental implant looks like? We use short patient education videos to show you our recommendations prior to treatment so that you fully understand the process.

Knowledge is power, and having all the information about your condition allows you to make the best decisions possible regarding your oral health.

Intraoral Camera

In addition to digital x-rays, often Dr. Azenheimer utilizes an intraoral camera as a tool to educate his patients on the current condition of their teeth. Our intraoral camera is a small handheld camera that captures images of individual teeth. If we diagnose worn or cracked teeth, tooth decay, cracked or damaged restorations, or even periodontal conditions such as gum recession, we can show you pictures of your teeth so you can fully understand your conditions and treatment options. Dr. Azenheimer believes it is very important for every patient of his to understand the current state of their oral health and always takes the necessary time to review x-rays and images with his patients.

Furthermore, when your insurance company requests additional information about your conditions, we can use your digital images to ensure that you get the coverage you deserve.
